Size it Right!

One of the biggest concerns we often hear from people who are considering buying a ring online is – how do I know it will fit if I can`t try it on? I have no idea about my ring size!?

1)  Measure From Your Own Ring (Diameter)

If you have a ring that you know fits perfectly, you can use it to determine your size.

STEP 1: The measurement of the inside of the ring from one side of the circle to the other is what we need to know.  This is referred to as the diameter of the ring.

You can use a standard ruler, everyone has one somewhere in the house.  (If you want to get fancy you can use a measuring gauge, but it’s not necessary.)  Another option is to trace the inner circle of the ring onto a paper using a very sharp pencil.  The measurement straight from one side of the circle to the other is what we are looking for.

STEP 2: Using the table below, look for INSIDE DIAMETER.  Select your measurement and find your size.  Millimeter or Inches .. both are on the chart.

2) Measure Your Finger (Circumference)

STEP 1:  To get the measurement of your finger you can use either a piece of string. Wrap the string or paper around so that it sits comfortably on the ring finger.  Make sure it’s not too tight or too loose.  Mark the point where the two ends meet.  Use a ruler or other device to measure that portion of paper/string.

STEP 2: Using the table below, look for INSIDE CIRCUMFERENCE.  Choose the unit of measurement you used to obtain your measurement – either inches or millimeters.

THAT’S IT! (Told you it was easy!)

Converting Ring Size to European Standard Size

We should point out that all rings from Mika & Co. are sized according to the European standard sizing.  If you already know your size but it is measured under a different system, use the chart below for the conversion to U.K., US, and German sizes.
